Transhumance with the Buchwald farm inn  

Follow in the footsteps of Suzi, the Vosges cow from the Buchwald farm (departure: 131 oberbreitenbach - Breitenbach) who will lead the herd on the transhumance from the Buchwald farm inn.

Share in this family tradition that continues every year. Dany, Julie and Jérémie, dressed in traditional Marcaire costume, invite you to walk with them and the 40 Vosges cows to the sound of clarines. Each cow is dressed for the occasion with a bell that rings out across the mountain. You'll leave the village farm in the morning to the sound of the accordion. Along the way, you'll stop at the Ried inn and farm, where you'll be treated to folk music and Alpine horns. The transhumance ends at the Buchwald farm inn at 1050m altitude. Sabrina and Mireille await you there for a marcaire meal to the sound of accordion music.
