Show - Valley of the Petrified  

The Schlossberg in Kaysersberg is set to host a captivating show! In the idyllic setting of this castle in the heart of Alsace's vineyards, "La Vallée des Pétrifiés" will transport you to a world populated by mysterious creatures. A unique opportunity to discover this medieval gem from a different angle!

The Valley of the Petrified:

This adventure takes us alongside three lost travelers: mountless knight Harald von Kurtzenberg, accompanied by a facetious jester and a musician deprived of speech. Lost in a strange spell, they find themselves trapped in the domain of Strygga, fearsome queen of the nixes.

This mythical creature, capable of petrifying anyone who hears her bewitching song, has as her servant a mischievous Ulviik, a facetious and unpredictable creature, whom she keeps under her sway. Between illusions and reality, our three heroes will have to show their ingenuity to escape this supernatural trap.

This original show draws its inspiration from the Rhineland legends around the Nixes, the mysterious aquatic nymphs who have populated the Germanic imagination for centuries.

A creation signed by the Arpentistes and Caravane des Illuminés Avertises troupes, based on a text developed under the artistic direction of John Howe and Jim Danton.

The day will offer visitors a complete experience in the heart of the medieval castle. The melodious voices of the Eclat de Voix choir will resonate through the ruins in a special concert dedicated to aquatic creatures, creating a truly magical atmosphere among the old stones.

This is a unique opportunity to experience the magic of the castle.

In addition to the theatrical performances, young and old alike will be able to take part in creative workshops, watch demonstrations of medieval weapons and even transform themselves into aquatic creatures thanks to the make-up talents of Candice Mack. A complete immersion in the fantastic world of the nixes!

Program:

• From 11am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4pm: Workshops, games and battle scenes by Lames d'en Temps; and make-up workshop creatures of the Rhine.
• At 11am: Concert on water and creatures of the Rhine.
• At 11:30 am: "Petrified Valley" show
• At 3 pm: "Petrified Valley" show.
