An emblematic work of children's literature, Les Contes de ma mère l'Oye (The Tales of Mother Goose) brings together eight famous stories by Charles Perrault. The École de Musique de Sélestat invites you on a musical journey through the land of fairy tales, bringing each story to life with melodies and illustrations. On the programme:
Sleeping Beauty
Little Red Riding Hood
Bluebeard
Puss in Boots
The Fairies
Cinderella
Riquet à la Houppe
And finally, Le Petit Poucet
The clarinet, flute, harp, orchestra and wind ensemble classes at the École de Musique de Sélestat developed the musical part of this project, under the coordination of Angéline VÉRON.
The evening will begin with a song performed by pupils from the Ste-Foy and Jean Monnet primary schools in Sélestat.
Throughout the concert, extracts from the tales will be recounted, serving as a common thread between each piece and immersing the audience in the enchanting atmosphere of these stories. In addition, children from the St-Charles extra-curricular school in Sélestat have added their creative touch by creating illustrations of the tales, which will be projected in the background during the concert, adding an enchanting visual dimension to this wonderful evening.
