Show - The Ladies Man
Dr Moulineaux begins a secret affair with Suzanne, one of his patients. To conceal this adulterous affair, he rents a mezzanine apartment formerly occupied by a seamstress. No sooner has he moved in with his mistress than Moulineaux is confronted with the arrival of some of the seamstress's clients, as well as his mother-in-law, his lawful wife and Suzanne's husband, who also arrives with his mistress...
The misunderstandings follow one another with remarkable precision, each character trapped by their own lies. Moulineaux, forced to juggle his multiple identities, must constantly improvise to avoid being unmasked. The situation becomes increasingly burlesque as the characters cross paths in this confined space, each unaware of the true nature of the others' relationships.
The lively dialogue and comical situations make this play a true masterpiece of vaudeville, where lightness and humour reign supreme.
With ‘The Ladies Man’, the author once again proves his ability to capture human flaws with sharp irony and amused benevolence, reminding us that life is sometimes a huge theatre stage where everyone strives to play their role as best they can.
