Colmar Jazz festival - Les résonances de Satie / Adèle Viret Quartet

Add to my calendar 21-09-2025 20:30 21-09-2025 Europe/Paris Colmar Jazz festival - Les résonances de Satie / Adèle Viret Quartet Les Résonances de Satie is a ripple effect of the quiet explosion caused by Erik Satie's music over a century ago. An itinerary repertoire conceived as an ode to his music, timeless and unflappable. An ode that revisits one of the monuments of minimalist intelligence and musical mischief, between fricassee prelude and chamber tartine!
Christophe Rieger: saxophone - Jean-René Mourot: piano - Phillip Klawitter: double bass - Franck Agulhon: drums
Adèle Viret Quartet
Adèle Viret chose to return to the piano of her childhood to celebrate the ordinary and the commonplace. From this spontaneous impulse, she has woven a canvas around which she blends her cello and the voices of three musicians close to her heart.
The result is a chamber music atmosphere in which role-sharing, relay and permutation are as essential as a generous dose of mischief and daring.
We sail tenderly between horizons that seem to be bathed in Mediterranean shores, or others where the sky is more uncertain, stormy perhaps. And as we listen to the music, we hear tides, wide open spaces and other youthful tunes! Colmar reservation.theatre@colmar.fr
