This imposing house is one of the most remarkable in Kaysersberg, with a magnificent Rhenish renaissance architecture. This picturesque corner house is a true vineyard house. It has an almost square main body and a rather deep off-center front body, wood-panelled floors, sculpted and twisted posts, and a first floor of pink Vosges sandstone.
Built in 1594 for the cooper Paul Offinger, the Faller Brief house now houses a restaurant and the Dietrich cellar, where you can taste and buy Alsatian wines. The initials of its very first owner (P for Paul and O for Offinger) as well as the cooper's emblem and the vintages 1593 and 1594 can still be found in several places in the house.
