Eugene Noack, nicknamed Schéni, has lived all his life in Colmar, a city he has always refused to leave despite many solicitations. Gifted for drawing, he began his professional life as a cabinet maker. He then moved as a painter after the Second World War and experienced intense creative activity: his abundant production in the style asserted range from artistic drawing to advertising, oil painting on display, ex-libris to wine labels, which he signs e.noack. In 1960, he entered the Colmarian office of "Alsace" where he was allowed to exercise his artistic talents that would make him famous well beyond the region.
